Writing Articles can be a lucrative home business and and it pays to know the right and the wrong way to go about it.
Although keywords are important in your articles, always make sure they fall in naturally and they do not stand out as if you have placed them deliberately.
Do not stuff your article with keywords, one or two here and there is sufficient.
Content is king, so your articles should be informative and well written, stating facts and placing any important information near the beginning.
Keep your paragraphs short, no more than three or four sentences as large blocks of text are off putting and the reader is likely to give up. If you are talking about a product and it is not on your own website, do not be afraid of giving the address of the website, it will do you no harm and it will help the ranking of your page.
Your header or title is an important part of your article as this is what the reader sees first, if its not descriptive or looks dull and uninspiring the reader will pass it by and look for something better.
If you have difficulty thinking of ideas for your articles simply look around your home or your your office, jot down a list of things you can see around the room or on your desk. If you have a window close by, glance through and jot down what you can see in the vicinity.
For instance on your desk you will have a pen and pencil, now think to yourself, I wonder how many types of pens there are on sale today, when were the first pens used, and what were they like, who invented the pen? who invented a biro?
I am not saying you should write about it, but every thing you see could be a starting point. Most information can be found on the web so you should have no difficulty finding out facts and figures for what ever you write about.
People like to know why, and where, who, and what. Try and provide answers and you will come up with some great articles.
Write naturally and not in a stilted fashion, readers like to know that a real person has written the article so be yourself when writing.
Keep your articles to around five hundred words, they can be shorter but five hundred is the average. If your article turns out to be around a thousand words then break it up and make it into two articles, most people get bored with long articles and never read through to the end.
Your bio at the end of the article is equally important, tell the readers a bit about yourself, your expertise in what you do, also add your website address so readers will visit your website as extra traffic is what you are looking for.
