This might seem a bit unusual but I am after some help please. I want to place free ebooks on my website for people to download but I havn’t the slightest idea how to do it.   I can put them on my site but what do I have to do for people to be able to download them?

I would appreciate any help you can give on this subject please.

I have had this idea which may seem a bit mad but it appeals to me. This is not an online business but something you could build up in the outside world.

Now you only have to look at Ebay online auctions to know that auctions appeal to a great multitude of people, so why not start your own auction business.  No don’t shrug this off as a daft idea, many daft ideas turn out to be big business as this could.

I know that many towns and cities already have auction houses but usually they are more high class and don’t appeal to us ordinary people.  So find a reasonably large shop or warehouse to let, and set up your business.   Prepare to advertise your auctions for at least a month before it is due to open, you want everyone to know it is there, not only to buy but also to bring in the goods to be auctioned.

While you are advertising visit an auction room and check out everything and how it is done, also how the auctioneer works and the patter. Ok I said it was a mad idea but it is completely workable.

You will need some money to rent premises and also for advertising, but if you keep it in the family to start with you won’t need to pay wages untill you are up and running.

Have you almost given up on your website?  Is it wavering about in the midst of hundreds or thousands of other lost and lonely websites.  If so its time to get working on it and bring it out into the sunshine.

My own website was always way up on the first page of google searches and it brought me in a healthy monthly income, then I suddenly lost my husband and all thoughts of websites and the internet disapeared from view as I wallowed in misery.

Of course Google and the other search engines didn’t look kindly at a website neglected for almost eighteen months and ultimately it disappeared from view  and most of the revenue with it.  When I finally decided to seek out my website I found it way back on or around page 800. 

I began straight away to work on it, I changed the front page completely, keeping the same keywords of course. I added new pages and tweaked the old ones by adding new content and generally gave the whole website a facelift.

I saw my website start creeping back up so I kept this regime up by continuing to add pages plus writing the odd article to submit to article sites.  Then one day my website jumped and landed straight into the first ten pages of google.

It slowly crept up and finally it was back to page one, which pleased me greatly.  I check on my website every day to see if its slipped and I don’t neglect it anymore, I continue to add the odd page and more content to other pages, I also change the ads every now and again to keep it fresh and looking different for any repeat visitors that happen to pop in.

So take heart and get to work on that website to give it a new lease of life and a bit of sparkle if you want to start earning an income from it.

Just lately everything seems to be about saving money due to the economy.  There are so many ways to save money but many people seem to want to bury their heads in the sand and just hope it will go away.  That is not likely to happen for quite a while as when the upturn comes many people will be struggling for a long while after to pay off debts that occured during the recession.

The only way to try and beat the recession, or at least try and keep your head above water is to cut out all the luxuries.  For a start if you smoke then stop or cut your smoking in half.  If you like to go out for a drink, stay at home and brew your own or get into the wine making business, for your own or friends consumption of course.

Stop and check food prices, instead of those expensive cuts of meat look at cheaper options, and try out those own store brands instead of the top brands, most of them are just as good.

Check out those toilet tissues you buy, why buy the expensive ones when when stores own are a quarter of the price and do exactly the same job.

Forget about those expensive summer holidays for a while, for a start they cost twice as much when the children are on holiday from school, instead arrange a few days out to compensate and stem any disappointment.

These are only a few ways to cut costs there are many more if you look at your lifestyle, after all it won’t be for ever, but you never know you might get used to being frugal and when the good times come think how bank balance will climb.

I know a bit about forex trading trading as I have tried it out, but I found it a bit scary for me.  Some people are so knowedgable that they can follow the trends but you have to be very keen and put your whole heart into this business as its not for the faint hearted.

Do you find writing articles a bit on the difficult side?  If so you could buy private label rights and use them as your own. Or you could take a look at the public domain, every thing you find there is free to use as the copyright has expired, of course you will probably need to rearange the articles or what ever you use as many people have already found this treasure trove.

It does not matter what the topic of your website is, you still need to have the ability to write articles, or a reliable source that will provide them. Most websites require new and interesting content to keep their website up to date and of interest to their visitors. You don’t just want new visitors, you want them to return time and time again to see what new topics you have come up with.

It is a bit like a new item, for instance the video game. If they didn’t bring out new games every few weeks the sales would soon drop as people get fed up of seeing or doing the same things, stale content is the same it will do nothing for your website.

I am back after losing my website and blog for a few days.  My website has been online for six years and this is the first and hopefully the last time it will happen.

As my website is on the first page of Make money online on Google UK I was worried it would disappear from view due to the  lapse. The reason this happened is because the email address that the domain is registered with had gone out of exsistence so I got no reminder that the payment was due.

So take heed and make sure your email is always up to date so you don’t have this problem.

I have not been wasting my time while my website was down, I wrote a few articles to submit to free article sites because as most of you know those articles give you those precious back links which we all want.  I just hope when I submit them that they are what people are looking for as the more people that add them to their websites then the more backlinks I aqquire.

It was much easier when reciprocal linking was the order of the day as I got so many requests for link exchange that I got fed up of adding them. They are still useful but not so important any more.

I just want to give a word of advice to those of you who are thinking of setting up a new website. Even if you are short of money always always find the spare cash to buy your own domain name and hosting.

When I began online seven years ago I started off with a free website, I bought my present one six months later.  Both websites were in top position on Google .com and UK for the search words make money Online.

I was doing really well money wise when suddenly after three years my free website disappeared. The host who was Yahoo just removed it. It chopped my profit straight in half so I was extremely glad that my other website was my own domain.

I have never bothered to  build another although I have thought about it, but I can’t be bothered with all the linking etc. I keep my website in trim by working on it every day, adding new text and removing old ones, this keeps me busy enough without having another one.

The colours in your website are important as you want it to strike a chord with your visitors. For instance, bright pink might be your favourite colour but it might have your visitors fleeing instead of stopping to look.

You don’t need to worry about pleasing the search engines as they see everything in black and white.

The width of your website is up to you, many people prefer to stick with 100% but I find that is a bit wide for me, but it depends again on what your subject is.

The title of your website is also dependant on the chosen subject, decide on your main keywords and use them in your title.  It is important to use these keywords at various intervals in the top fold of your website so write an interesting article pertaining to your subject and insert the keywords being careful not to make them look stilted or false.

Continue down your webpage inserting your keywords at intervals but do not stuff the keywords in unneccessarily as the search engine will take a dim view of this, also your page will look unatural to the readers.

Your meta tags are important to explain what your website is all about, but don’t make the mistake of including keywords or phrases that are not on the webpage.

An important piece of information to remember is,  every so often check that you do not have broken links on your pages, apart from undermining your website it is annoying to visitors.

Deciding what business to start can be a bit worrying to some people, but when you think about it there is not a lot of difference what you start as long as it is something that you know will interest the multitude.

For instance the health business: millions of people buy health products as an ongoing process so if you get satisfied customers you are likely to keep them in the pipeline as regular customers which means the build up of your business.

Health has never been more prominant than it is at this present time, it is very high profile with the news media adverts impressing people as to the benefits of healthy living and ways to keep fit.

Every day thousands of people are searching online for cheaper options or for health products that are hard to find in their local areas, also many people find it less embarrassing to buy products like Viagra etc online rather than visit a doctor.

The health industry makes billions every year so this has to be a good business to get into.  Yes there are hundreds or more websites out there already selling health products, but the same goes for any business.  There are millions of websites on line and many of those millions are in the selling business, but that doesn’t stop new ones from springing up every single day in their bid to start making money.

Every where you look you will have competition so you must be competitive and do your best to build a website that strikes a chord in people and makes them want to visit your website rather than your competition.

I often surf other websites just to check out my competition and most of them I just skim over until I come to one that seems to stand out from the rest, I then stop and spend a bit of time browsing over it working out what that website has that the others don’t.  It is surprising what you can learn and how you can improve your own website. Not by copying but just by implementing one or two of the ideas into your own website.

What colours attract you to other websites ?  Yes colour does come into it, many people will bypass a website just because they don’t like the colour of it.  I always keep the main body of my website white it is much easier to read the text, but I like to see a coloured back ground as long as its not intrusive.

I’m not really a fan of online free offers or the free lotteries, although I did win £10.00 on one of the free lotteries when I use to do them so they are legitimate and worth trying.  I have also received free samples when I have filled the offer in so I don’t really have anything against them.

Thinking about it seriously I suppose you have as much chance of winning an online free lottery as you do with the paid offline ones and as they cost you nothing to play it seems silly not to have a go at them all.
