Seasonal Work

Tuesday, February 19th, 2008

By following the seasons there are various ways to make money, this could be on the internet or at markets or car boot sales.

One seasonal event that is coming up is mother’s day, and the second is the spring.  On mother’s day it is usual to give flowers or a gift. By making gifts you can sell will be a pleasant occupation plus it could be a money earner.Candles are much sought after and can be quite expensive to buy but you can make them quite cheaply. Be inventive and create a new design or simply follow others leads. Scented candles which you can create would make a lovely gift plus they would sell all year round. This website gives free instructions on how to make candles. http://www.candletech.com

And this website sells everything you will need to get started.  http://www.candlemakingsupplies.co.ukAs spring is around the corner it is a good time to think about plant selling. Growing from seed and then selling the plants is a great way to earn extra money.  Once the sunshine shows its face every ones thoughts turn to the garden, it can be flower or vegetable plants especially tomato plants as they are so easy to grow.It is a simple process to grow plants as all that is needed is a few flat growing containers and the compost, and of course the seeds.A greenhouse is really useful but if you don’t have one then a plastic greenhouse is quite cheap to buy, I have used one myself. Other wise they can be kept in a spare bedroom or similar.  This is a good website for information and ideas http://www.ukgardening.co.ukOr if you live in the US try this one  http://www.gardenguides.comThink ahead if you like the idea of plants, each season has many outlets including Xmas when Hyacinths and poinsettias are a great favourite.

Create Your Own Goods to Sell on the Internet

Monday, February 18th, 2008

Are you artistic and creative? If so you can make your own articles to sell on the internet.

By doing this you will not only have a hobby you enjoy doing but also a means of making money from your hobby.

Maybe you make jewellery or the beautiful greeting cards that are so popular now. Wooden toys are almost a thing of the past but I am sure many people would welcome these sturdy toys as something different to give as gifts.  If you have the tools and the means to make any type of toy you can even create a Xmas campaign and sell them in time for Xmas and make the extra money you need for that expensive season.

When my children were small my husband made wooden garages for the two boys for Xmas, we bought some cars and the odds and ends such as petrol pumps etc and the finished projects looked great. The boys were thrilled with them and they far out lasted the plastic toys you buy today.

This magazine will give you loads of ideas on what to make in various materials, even jewellery making, its packed with ideas. Craft MagazineHere is another source that gives loads of for shows or to sell Craft ShowsYou won’t be short of ideas with either of these. If you have any sort of hobby that is saleable then why not turn it to good use and make money with it?

Welcome To My Blog

Thursday, February 14th, 2008

Welcome to my blog. My name is Sylvia White and I have been working on the internet since 2002. My aim is to bring various business ideas and opportunities to your attention.

Now and again I may deviate as and when I find snippets of interesting facts or conversation I may slip them in. Please forgive me for this odd quirk but I find my attention often strays to other things.

Making money on the internet is often a hit or miss situation, it is quite true that millionaires have been made but this came about when the internet was young and every idea was new and fresh. To make money in this day and age you either have think up something entirely new, or find and join a program that you will enjoy working with and will keep your interest.

Selling on the internet is one of the most popular, you must find a product or various products and then set about writing a sales campaign. It must be something to catch the eye and make people want to buy.

Years ago salesmen used to go from door to door selling their products, if you paused for more that a few minutes to listen to them you often ended up buying something you didn’t want, simply because their patter was so good they made you believe it was something you had always wanted and needed. That is how your sales campaign must be, make them believe that your product is the best and something that they must have, make it sound so convincing that even you believe it yourself.

The big superstores are famous for this, invariably you go in for one or two items and come out with half a dozen, it is simply because items they want to sell are placed right in vision and the offers are so appealing you simply must buy them. Next time you go to your local supermarket check out what tricks they use and maybe you can work something into your advertising sales pitch.
