Turn Your Hobby Into A Business

For instance, I had just the usual knowledge of making cakes like any other housewife when my friend asked me if I would make a christening cake for her I was surprised to find I had a flair for it plus I enjoyed doing it.
One or two people who saw the cake at the party approached me and asked if I would do one for them.
After a while I decided to see if I could start my own business making celebration cakes. I couldn’t afford premises so I made a sign and hung it in my front room window.
It wasn’t long before I got my first customer and from then on it became a full time job.
I ended up by buying my own shop plus teaching in colleges on certain evenings.
It was just a friend’s request that started me off on a great business without any experience at all.
Many people while away the hours doing a hobby they enjoy, but how many people could turn that hobby into a business if they thought about it.
