A Website to Make Money Online.

By Sylvia White

The internet has opened up a host of opportunities for anyone young or old.  There are many ways to make money online whether you are looking for a part time job or you need to work full time.

A website is a good beginning as there are many ways to make money with it, you can use it for any program you join, or simply build a site where you can display opportunities and money making ads. An opportunity website is a good earner but first you have to build your website and work to get it on the search engines.

A simple two or three page website will not reach a good enough status so you have to add new pages daily of interesting information.

Once you have a sizable website you will find that writing articles about your various interests will prove invaluable to attracting the search engines to your website.

There are many sites where you can place your articles and many of them are free. If your article is interesting and helpful to others then other website owners will place your article on their website. This means that they are linking to your website with a one way link and this is the best possible way to see your website going up in the searches.

You will need to optimise your website for the search engines, this means having meta tags that contain your most important keywords and placing your keywords carefully throughout your website.

If you are new and do not understand how or what to do, just place your questions in the search engines and many websites will come up that will explain in detail what they mean and also how to optimise your site in simple wording.

It is not important to know HTML but it is a great help to know and understand what it is all about as it will be needed at some later stage. Again you can find websites that give free lessons so once your website is up and running you can spend some time learning the rudimentary.

The title of your website is very important, it should contain your most important keywords and explain what your website is about. For instance “ Make Money Online”  is very simple but in three words it explains what your website is about and it is also important keywords.

Work from Home is the most common keywords and probably the best, but to try and compete with such important keywords as this could mean a long wait before your website reaches even the top one hundred.

If you type those keywords into the searches it will bring up the top website, study them and try to see what makes them most important, but do not copy any website ever, yours must be original and all your own work.

If you are stuck for articles or ideas for your website, just visit the www.Wikipedia.com  it is an encyclopaedia with every thing under the sun and every thing on there is absolutely free to copy, or it will give you many ideas and information on what to write about.

Back Links or the Lack of Them

By Sylvia White.

  • Has your website disappeared or popped up way back in the six or seven hundreds on the top search engine?
  •
  • Have you been wondering why this has happened?
  • Take my advice and check out your back links.

You can bet your life that in the last two or three months at least half of your back links or even more have disappeared.

There is no need to wonder why this is happening it is quite simple.

Google has given the thumbs up to one way back links, so all those unscrupulous web masters are removing their links in the hope that you don't notice, or you never do link checks.

They now have an abundance of one way links and WOW they have jumped way up to front of  the queue.

There is a simple way to stop this happening, just remove all those sites that have removed your link..

If every one followed this advice those unscrupulous webmasters would end up in the same boat.

What was Google thinking of to introduce something so controversial as one way links! Did they realise what would happen?

Why should your website be more important because it has an abundance of one way  back links?

If they are got honestly because people are happy to link to what they believe is an impressive site with out expecting a link back,  then yes it is worthy of top placing,

So all you webmasters that have travelled backwards or disappeared from the searches go quickly and check on Google have your  back links  shrunk to almost nothing? if they have you have your answer as to why your website has almost been made redundant.

The Best Things in Life are Free

By Sylvia White

The best things in life are free, this is something I have been thinking about lately. What are the best things in life ?  many years ago when this saying was born it was probably true, but what do we have now that is free ?

Good Health !  not really when you consider how much the governments takes from your wages for national health, or what you pay for for private health care, and of course what is paid for the millions of vitamin tablets consumed daily.

The countryside ! Is there any left ?  If so it is very hard to find these days unless you are prepared to travel great distances, and when you do find it make sure you are not trespassing because it is probably private property.

f you do venture into the country side make sure you do not pick the wild flowers, it is against the law. they are not free.  Do not remove the pebbles from the beaches, they do not belong to you and they are not free.

Water used to be free, but no longer. before long you will be paying for every drop you use. There is one solution here.  Yes!  lets go back to the days of old and place a rain barrel in the garden.  Mind you in this day and age of acid rain and contamination from nuclear fuels etc, would it be drinkable ?

The Sun.  Hooray  they can't charge us for that.   But wait a minute !  What about all the warnings about the damage from the suns rays and the cost of making sure you are covered in sun cream to stop you from getting burned.

There must be something out there that is free but where is it and what ? Your children are definitely  not free, they cost you a fortune to rear. Love and marriage! No chance you need lots of money for that.

Free speech !  even that is fast disappearing,

Well at home you are free to do what you wish,  well almost ! if you watch television  make sure you have a television  licence, If you like to chat with  friends on the phone, be prepared for a huge phone bill. and if you want to access the internet  WoW what does that cost ?

If you want to stay warm think about the gas or electricity bill, and make sure you pay your rates or council tax on your home or you will end up in jail and then it is you that won't be free.

You are free to enjoy your garden, how lovely to sit on the lawn amongst the lovely flower borders and while away the hours. But watch out,  if the sun shines for a day or two the hose pipe ban comes into force and your beautiful flowers disappear and your fresh green lawn shrivels up  from lack of  water.

Can anyone tell me what is free in this day and age because I am finding it very hard to come up with anything ?

Two for one,  buy one get one free,  if so why is my shopping bill going up instead of down ! That is fairly simple to work out, a few coppers added here and there  to the every day items we buy soon make up the cost of your free item. Well like every thing else we are accustomed to our lot and we don't really expect  anything for free, so we can now strike that saying out of the phrase books  because it has become redundant.

Unless of course you can come up with something.!

Starting a Business on the Internet

By Sylvia White

There is a very thin line between the success or the failure of your Internet business. Let us look first below that thin line, this is the failure of a business.

Why do people fail?

At the start of their own business most people are full of enthusiasm and keen to get started, the first steps of failure start now.

They neglect to read and learn all about the business they are starting.

It may look like a lot of boring nonsense that you don't need to bother about and you think your common sense will tell you all you need to know.

Sorry that is not the way it works.

All that boring stuff is there for your own good, the person who wrote that boring stuff probably took many hours to put together what he thought was necessary learning for a program that took him many long months to put together.

If you can't be bothered to read it then you don't deserve to succeed.

The type of program you start could also be your downfall. Have you checked it out properly, will you have the time needed to work with it ?

Some programs can be worked anytime, an odd half  hour here and there could be all that is needed but some programs could take up to a few hours a day.

It is fine at the start all you need to do is pull in those affiliates that will help you make money, but what about when those affiliates want questions answered.

They like you have probably neglected to read all the information and they expect you to answer their questions, if you don't know the answers then the affiliate will give up and that is your loss.

Patience is a virtue and if you don't have it then don't start a business that may take months to build up,  you will end up bored and start thinking that its not worth the bother.

If you have paid a monthly subscription to stay in the program you may be more determined to succeed but that does not work for every one.

Now let us look above the thin line.

You have a determined nature and patience is one of your virtues, you settle down and read every word of the lesson boring or not.

You now know the answers and how best to proceed to make a success of your business.  If it is an affiliate program where you need to draw in affiliates of your own you start off by advertising, or you  take the time to build a website and spend time on that first.

Your subscription is not important at this point as you expect to make that back over and over again.  You lay the foundation first then begin building and you are on the road to success.

This comes from my own experience and although I don't bother too much with it now I still receive a monthly income from my down lines, Reciprocal income is a bonus and not to be ignored.

Chase Your Dream

By Sylvia White

It is a well known fact that out of one hundred people who join your home base  business, only a very small proportion will continue and pursue their dream to make money online.

WHY ?   There are a few reasons why this happens,

1/  Mistrust,  2/ Money,  3/ Understanding, 4/ Time.

1/  The majority of people who search the internet looking for a home based business are moms with small children who can't go out to work. The unemployed person, and the person who loves the idea of  retiring from work and being their own boss.

The problem is !  No one really trusts the internet except those that are already making money.    They hear all about the scams and are frightened to trust their instincts as to what is good and what is bad. The internet seems so impersonal and cold when you first start searching.

So what is the best way to get started !  There is no doubt about it, you have to get started  if you want to make money online and join the thousands of people that are already making it.

What do you put in the searches to find  a business or job ?

Here are a few keywords to help you in your search.  Make Money Online,   Work at Home,  Find a Job,  Home Business.     Any of these will take you straight to the Home business pages.  There are many free to join businesses out there, this gives you the chance to really look at the business and find what sort of help you will receive before committing yourself.  Most legitimate businesses will provide you with a mentor, a person to help and guide you on the best way to get started. It does pay to email your mentor and introduce yourself, Let them know that you are serious about starting the business.  If they email back promptly with advice then you know that the help you require is really on the other end and likely to be good.

2/  Money:   Almost every business will require a payment of some kind if you really want to  pursue it.  Some require a one off payment, and others monthly.  They are always affordable payments and won't break the bank.   This is a normal practice as we already working online know, we made the decision to pay and got started.

3/  Understanding:   No matter which business you start you will have doubts about whether you will be able to make your business work.  This is understandable as to the normal everyday person there is a chance that all the information that comes from the actual business looks like double dutch.   Take things slowly and read each part a couple of times to try and understand it.  If this fails then your mentor will be on the other end of an email or possibly your messenger.   If he or she wants to keep your interest they will explain it all carefully untill you understand exactly what you need to do. They are there to teach and guide you as they want you to succeed as much as you do.  You are their stepping stone to higher things, as your own affiliates will be for you.

4/ Time:   Something not a lot of people have. But that is the beauty of the internet, with most programs you can work whenever you have the time to spare, even if its only one hour a day.

And now for the crunch :   The only way to be successful on the internet is to have patience. When things don't seem to be moving and you feel like giving up.  Keep at it, don't let the downs get the better of you. When you reach the bottom there is only one way to go, and that is up. You will succeed with persistence and determination.

We all went through it.

Gold At The End Of The Rainbow

By Sylvia White

We are all searching for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow which now seems to have transferred to the internet.

The trouble is that grumpy old leprechaun  that guards it manages to keep it well hidden, so first of all we have to find a way to get rid of him before we can start searching for it.

Now we all know that the grumpy old leprechaun is a myth so that obstacle has been disposed of, and the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is  the dream we all have of making our fortune.

The internet holds all sorts of possibilities for us as fortunes have been made, and many people are earning  five to ten times more than they ever could with an ordinary job.

The problem with many people is that though they  dream about making a fortune they are not prepared to put themselves out  to try and make it.

As I am a team leader in an affiliate program I have heard so many excuses from thousands of people.

  1. I can't afford it

  2. I don't have enough time

  3. I don't understand it

  4. Its a scam

  5. I'll think about it

These are just a few.

What they don't realise is that the gold at the end of the rainbow is within touching distance and they just have to reach out and grasp it.

I am not saying it is easy, if it was we would all be made of money. It requires effort, work, and commitment to get started and the determination to succeed.

When you reach a low ebb where nothing seems to be working, and it happens to most people, this is the time to shake yourself and say "Its not going to beat me".

Determination and patience is the key to finding that pot of gold.

Let us start at the beginning, you have joined a program and paid your subscription fee what do you do now?

If you are sensible you will read everything you can find on the website it is there to help you, if you don't understand it then cut it into sections and read each one over and over until it suddenly clicks into place.

If that doesn't work then if it is a reliable program you will have a mentor at the end of an email and you just have to ask for their help and advice.

Never email them and say " I have just joined under you so what do I do now"?

Explain to them that you have read the information but you don't really understand it and can they help you.

Now it is in your mentors interest to help and advise you as you could end up a team leader and make lots more money for him as your affiliates will do for you.

There is nothing worse than to have an affiliate pay their subscription for a few months then suddenly opt out with no explanation or not having bothered to contact you at all.

You have lost an affiliate that could have been a good team leader if they had asked for help, and they have lost the money they paid for their subscriptions.

Let us look at it in context,  if a relative left you a shop in their will.  For instance let us  say a pet shop, and you knew nothing whatever about pets but you fancied the idea of running your own shop what would you do?

Would you open up on Monday morning  and stand behind the counter waiting for the customers to come and buy them? or would you go out and purchase some books to read up on them so you would know what to feed them and how to keep them clean and learn as much about them as you possibly could

If you have happy and healthy pets and you know what a packet of canary seeds looks like you will have no problems selling them and your new shop will thrive.

Business is  the same you need to learn all about it so you can explain to your affiliates what they want to know and how to go about it.  You will have a happy team, a successful business and the pot of gold is getting closer every day.

Laughter Is The Best Medicine

BY SYLVIA WHITE.

We all know that laughter is the best medicine for all ills,  but do we know what the best medicine is for our websites !!!   We all strive to please the search engines and get them to place our website in the no 1 position.

Of course its not possible for everyone, but we will settle for a decent position, so how do we get to that decent position ?

Google and most of the search engines are gluttons for content.  If you are a newbie you might puzzle over this,  what sort of content you ask !   Anything thats informative or interesting to other people.

Not everyone has the experience to give advice so what sort of content can you provide ?

Before you decided to set up a website what were your interests !  Are you a tele addict ?  If you are then you must know a lot about certain programs that interest you and it is more than probable other people would be interested to hear your views on it.

Are you into cookery, bird watching, Art, News programs. Any thing goes as there is always someone interested in the same things as you, and your ideas will be different to theirs. You can write articles about anything.

You may never have put pen to paper before, not to place before an audience, but don't let that stop you. You don't have to be a professional,   just write as you talk that will make it more interesting.   Never think that your article won't be good enough to be printed in a forum, there is only one way to find out.

Post it to different forums and when it is accepted you will have the thrill of knowing that you wrote it and that will spur you on to write more.

Mind Over Matter

By Sylvia White

Mind over matter could mean the difference between winning and losing.

To be a winner you must think like a winner and believe with all your heart that you are a winner.

If you have the slightest doubts as to your ability to win then forget about what ever project you are thinking about.

Your state of mind is the centre of your being,  if you have a strong belief in yourself  plus the desire to succeed you will succeed.

If you think you are beaten, you are,

If you think you dare not, you don't,

If you want to win but you think you can't,

It is almost certain you won't,

Mind over matter.  If your thoughts run along those lines above  you are a loser, and you will stay a loser,  unless you take the decision to change your state of mind.

You might be at your wits end without a cent to your name and because of this state you are at a low ebb.

Your mind is telling you that you are finished and your life will never change for the better.

You must start off by realising that you have reached the bottom of the pit and the only way you can go now is up.

It may be slow, but it must be sure.

Start imagining that you have loads of money and work out what you will do with the money, straight away your mind will start lighten.

This is the day when you must take the decision to start on that road upwards.

You must desire something, and I mean really desire it. It might be a job, or a way to start making money, you need to get your self esteem back in order.

Start by believing in yourself,  You are as good as the next person and if they can do it so can you.

Get a pen and paper and sit down and write a list of all the things you can do and the things you think, you can do.

One of the easiest ways to get started for a man who is out of work and down to his last cent is this. ( this idea just sprang into my mind)

First of all spruce yourself up. If you feel good about yourself it will show through. Walk out of of your front door and take a stroll about your local neighbourhood or even a bit further.

Take note of the gardens in the area,  many of them will be in need of  a bit of care and attention due probably because the owners are working full time or to elderly to work in the gardens.

Jot down streets and numbers where you think the owners might appreciate some help.

When you have a reasonable list go home and begin working on leaflet you can easily deliver by hand.

You just need to say you are available for keeping gardens neat and tidy or any small odd jobs that require doing.

You do not have to be a landscape gardener or have any experience, just general common sense and the willingness to work is all that is needed.

You could make a starting out offer that can't be refused such as two hours work for the price of one for the first job.

As you know everyone is doing just that in a bid to win over the competition.

You will not be in competition but it will show prospective employers that you are really willing and keen.

This may not be the start you imagined but remember from little acorns oak trees grow.

It could snowball and you could find yourself employing others to do the jobs while you sit at home doing the office work.

That is just an instance, an idea that sprang into my mind on how you could start from having nothing to building up a business.

These ideas can work if you really desire to become a man of substance, only you can make them work but you must have faith in yourself  and believe you are a winner.

It is mind over matter, repeat these words daily till you really start to believe in them.

(My name is xxxxxx, I am a winner and I will succeed with anything I set my mind to, I am going to be a success and a leader of men.)

Repeat this to yourself  two or three times a day until it is deeply embedded in your mind.

Keep looking at the list you have written on things you can do, or things you  believe you can do and some idea will be born in your mind on what you should do

Remember that saying, from little acorns huge oak trees grow.  What ever you start even if  it is not the sort of  job you envisaged, like cleaning windows, walking dogs, baby sitting, doing odd jobs, cleaning cars, any thing that can be started from scratch without a cent in the kitty.

It can grow into a big concern if you believe you are a winner.

   The Easy Days

By Sylvia White.

The easy days are gone when you could build your website and two or three months later see it heading for the top of the searches in Google.

Now you must be prepared to wait six to nine months to even see your website in the searches. Why has this happened ?

The main problem was that so many people joined affiliate programs, they built a website expecting to be successful and making money in a couple of months. When this didn't happen they were simply abandoning their websites leaving them floating around in space until  they disappeared, or people were building them for short term profits or scam programs.

If you are really interested in your business and you are prepared to wait and work on your website to see it appear in the searches then go ahead and build it. Otherwise don't waste your time or money.

The only way to climb the mountain is to put on your climbing boots and using various implements, take it slow but sure.

Build your link pages by contacting other webmasters and asking for reciprocal link exchanges, don't join link farms, and if you want to keep your traffic don't join webrings. Do it the old fashioned way and watch your website do the same as that mountaineer and climb slowly up.

Ad content to your website, new pages for articles, there are loads of sites out there willing to let you print their articles for free. Pick a subject you are interested in and make it into a page that will interest the people who are looking around your website. This could mean you will have visitors returning to see what else you have added.

Optimise your website using keywords and meta tags, and keep your site tidy. Don't use colours that glare out and send your visitors scuttling off.

If you only have short periods of time to spend on your website, then use it wisely. While at work relieve your boredom by thinking up projects and ideas, this will save time. Instead of sitting in front of your PC wondering what to do it will be there in your head all ready to get going.

And last but not least, Write articles yourself, submit them to websites and ezines, get yourself known.

The Terrible Twos

By Sylvia White

The terrible twos. Is it a myth or has your gorgeous baby developed into a fiend of mischief over night.

The change from baby to a young child can be quite painful for some parents but have you ever wondered why ?

The main problem is boredom, he or she has discovered that there is more to life than sitting playing with toys, the mind becomes active they want to be involved in what is going on around them.

Expecting your little treasure to sit contentedly while you get on with your daily tasks is now a thing of the past, he or she will want to take part in the running of the house and nothing is going to stop them.

As a baby life was almost routine, feeding times, bath time, nappy changing, bedtime, suddenly this has changed he now has more time on his hands as routines change with growing needs.

One way to avert this unsettling time is to cater for their every need which of course is an impossibility when you have a home to run.

Your little tot is on a learning curve and he is interested in all you do even to the point of wanting to copy so a visit to the Early Learning Centre is helpful.

At the age of two to three your Child does not know the difference between sexes, your son will happily play with a doll or a car and vice-versus so a few household type toys are useful.

A vacuum cleaner for a start so they can join in and do their bit, an iron and ironing board to keep them busy while you set about the ironing, a dustpan and brush so you can teach them to pick up the bits that are dropped.

A plastic painting or play mat is a good idea they are quite large and while you are washing the dishes you can sit them on the kitchen floor with a little bowl of water and a dolls tea set so they can copy what you are doing, any upsets that occur are easily cleaned up.

Give them a duster when you polish and when you empty the washing machine give them some small items to fold in their own way, or you can even buy two or three handkerchiefs and give them a wash each time so they have their own washing to deal with.

As you put your cleaning aids away try and get your child to do the same even storing them in the same place as yours. leaving them out for continuous play will spoil the enjoyment of doing the jobs and they will soon get bored with it, plus your child may learn the need to be tidy.

A daily walk to the shops or the park is a treat for any young child, point things out as you go and say the name it is surprising what they take in at this age.

If it hasn't already happened your child should now be ready for a nap so you can rest for a while or do whatever you want to do, the problem is that as your child gets older he will often fight against sleep and when that happens he can become irritable and appear naughty.

Instead of scolding try a bit of motherly love, nurse him for a while and if that fails a walk down the garden often works, he will either get over his tiredness or finally give way to the much needed nap.

A good practise is to start as you mean to go on by placing your child in the cot each day even when tiny, they will then be used to the daily ritual, this can continue until climbing becomes an obsession and the cot sides hold a challenge for him.

When they become bored with their toys a saucepan and wooden spoon will delight them and a cardboard box large enough for them to climb in will occupy them for an hour or more. Anything out of the ordinary that is safe will keep your child happy for varied lengths of time.

Each stage of your son or daughters life is a learning curve, as each year passes so your child will change and what he learns from you now will effect his future habits and behaviour.

Tantrums are not allowed and if this happens do not scream or shout at your child just let them get on with it, continue with what ever you are doing and ignore it, he or she will soon realise that you are not interested and they will get over the tantrum much quicker, they will eventually stop as they realise it does no good.

You are the person that will mould your child into the person you want him to be until he or she reaches the age where they can think and act for themselves.

Tips to Reach the Top of the Search Engines

By Sylvia White

1/Choosing a Domain name for your website is not a problem. It can relate to the business you have chosen or you can even use your own name. It is not an important consideration despite some peoples beliefs,

2/ Keywords are a prime consideration, Keyword rich web pages will climb higher on the search engines, so place a lot importance and thought to the keywords you are going to use.  You will find the use of wordtracker a great boon in this respect.  Do not place a load of keywords across your pages, just place them through out your text where ever posible.   You can write up to 200  or more words of text at the beginning of your site with keywords placed skilfully as  many times as posible but not as just obvious keyword placing.

3/ Meta tags are important, the meta description being the most important, It must be a description of what your business is about with main keywords included. meta keywords are not important with Google, but some search engines do take notice of them, you can posibly use them for miss spelt words.

4/ Linking is also very important, make sure the websites you link to are high quality and imformative to visitors, this will give your own website a big boost.

5/ Getting high ranking takes time, don't expect to instantly jump into top position, be patient and while you are waiting ad more informative pages to your website, a site map is a big help to your visitors and very easy to do. If you know about a particular subject then write it down and ad to your website, also you can submit this copy to other websites with your own name and url at the end, if they are good enough to use your copy you will be seen by others and attract even more traffic to your website improving your popularity.

I am not a site optimisation expert by any means, but by using these methods I have managed to retain top placements in Google and other search engines.for my websites,

Weblogs or Blogs

By Sylvia White

Weblogs or blogs are taking over the web, This is good news for some and bad news for others.

The good news is that it costs absolutely nothing to start a blog or weblog,

The bad news is for those that make their living designing websites or selling domain names and hosting a drop is more than likely to show up before long.

What difference is there between a website and a weblog ?

Let us start with websites.

You first of all buy a domain name then hosting, this can be vary in cost depending on the type of website you are building.

If you can't build your own website you then pay someone to design and build it for you.

Next you ad content and to have a successful website you continue to ad fresh content daily or weekly.

You then work out a linking program which is ongoing throughout the life of your website.

Now you wait for the search engines to spider your website and send you traffic.

If you have optimised your website correctly, begun a good linking campaign then you should start climbing up the ranks, but this can take many months of pain staking work.

Your key words are all important but don't forget there are millions of websites probably competing for the same keywords you are so you must be one step ahead all the time.

Sign up to as many directories as you can find and don't get discouraged when other websites ignore your request for exchange links, just go on to the next one.

What Can You Do

By  Sylvia White

Do you have a hobby or a favourite pastime ?  Reading !  Writing !  Art!  Darts !   Don't laugh I'm serious: darts is a favourite pastime for many thousands of people Men and Women. What I'm getting at is,  it could be anything.    Snooker, cookery, animals.  in fact anything you love doing or working at. OK Why am I asking you this ?

Because if you have a hobby or a pastime, and you have a website,  then tell others all about it.  What can I tell them about darts!!!  No silly. not that you throw three darts at a board and thats that.  For a start , how many games do you know about ?  One Two, plenty,  Ok begin by explaining the rudiments of the game about the scoring, what teams you have played, how many games you have won.

This is of interest to thousands of people and may even convert a few none players,  This explanation goes for any interest you have,  explain it in as much detail as you can. make sure its interesting  so people will read it and your all set.

BUT  There are thousands of articles out there on the internet  how will mine be any different ?  Everyone has different opinions and different thoughts on a subject. Use your own  know how,   the way you do it is bound to be different to some one else's idea of how it should be done. You might have little tricks they would like to know about, a way to make some thing seem much easier than it is. What about tips !  I mean idea's that you have thought up.

Here's one of my own,  probably thousands of people already use this idea, but I only thought about it at Xmas when I found my fridge was full to bursting and I couldn't squeeze another thing into it.  I found the ideal fridge with loads of room.  On the window sill out side.  In the freezing cold every thing kept perfectly.   I just have to say though,  my back yard is very secure so I had no qualms about leaving it there.

Well have you thought of something  you can write about ?  OK get going.   WHY !  Because if you have a website and you want traffic, Get your article or E book out on the internet, I am sure a few webmasters would like to show your work of art,  Just make sure you ad your signature and  of course your website Domain name as anyone interested in your article may just pay you a visit. Hooray, traffic arriving at your website, you have taken the first step towards earning your living on the internet.

PS Please don't ask me how you can earn your living by writing articles,  JUST DO IT.

Are You a Winner Or a Loser

By Sylvia White

What do you do next !  you have been working so hard to perfect your website you are certain there is nothing else you can do to improve it.  So why is there no sign of it in any searches ?

Boredom is setting in and you are wondering if it was worth all the bother after all.  With millions of websites already out there how is yours ever going to show up.

The thoughts of all the money you were going to make is slowly disappearing. Do you give up and call it a day, or do you sit and wait patiently for it to appear one day.

Well if you go for the first option your a loser straight away and don't deserve to make money.

And if you go for the second option what a time waster you are.

Lets look at Google, this is the search engine that every one is vying to get in the top ten.  You could liken it to a finely tuned piece of engineering. Don't worry it knows you are there and when the time is right your website will suddenly appear in the searches.

It may not be the top ten but at least it is there, Now if you have been sitting back and idling away the time waiting for it to turn up, then it is likely it will do the same and sit comfortably midst all the hundreds of other websites that are doing the same.

So instead of getting bored or giving up, keep working,  ad more pages, ad articles every day,  Keep linking to other websites.

Google loves websites with loads of pages, and I don't mean pages of ads, It loves facts and figures, ideas and tips, news articles.  Where to go, How to do that, Why does that happen.!

Do some research for new pages, have a bit of variety in your website, your visitors will love finding something different to the businesses, even if that's what they were searching for in the first place, they don't mind being diverted if its interesting enough.

You can place some matching ads on each page as well, also don't forget that as each page is different you need different keywords.

A winner is never idle so keep that in mind and forget boredom

Once Upon a Time in a Changing World

By Sylvia White

Once Upon a Time was always the start of fairy tales and children’s stories, now it has a different meaning.

For instance, once upon a time children could go out to play or call for their friends and spend hours merely enjoying themselves, or as children do getting into all types of mischief.

Once upon a time they could say bye mom and go off to school with their friends and then walk home happily at the end of the day.

Once upon a time there were seasons for all the childish games we use to play, but all those times have disappeared.

It is a rare occurrence now to see children playing out in the streets like in years gone by.

Parents are frightened to let their children out of their sight even for a few minutes. If you have to take the children on a shopping trip it can be nightmare keeping watch on them and purchasing your goods at the same time.

I have three grand children, the eldest is ten years and they have never been allowed out in the streets without their parent or a responsible person with them.

Times have changed and as far as a child is concerned certainly not for the better, even their futures are uncertain in a world where computers are taking over our lives, our well being, and our jobs.

Once upon a time a daily trip to the corner shop where you heard all the gossip was great, it might take half an hour to buy a loaf of bread and a bottle of milk but the friendly atmosphere and the chance to chat to friends and neighbours every day was something not to be missed.

Your weekly trip to the supermarket is now a chore that has to be endured, very rarely is a smile or friendly word seen or heard, unless by chance you happen to meet your next door neighbour and even then time doesn’t always allow for more than a few words as life seems all rush and bustle these days.

Once upon a time you could cross the roads without fearing for your life or go out alone in the evening and know that you would be safe as houses, but times have changed so much in the last few years that none of these things are possible unless you are very brave or foolhardy.

Can things get any worse? Who knows what is around the corner and what some mad professor will invent that will invade our space even further, time can’t go back which means it must go forward, but to what?

Shop till You Drop with Credit Cards

Shop till you drop is very easy to do in this day and age with the credit card companies urging you on with offers hard to refuse.

You can shop till you drop with one credit card after another offering you nine months free credit making you believe that the goods you purchase are a bargain.

Shop till you drop has a double edged meaning; you can simply drop yourself into a load of debt and end up not knowing which way to turn.

Your first couple of credit cards are fine you can manage the payments with no problem, after six months of paying on time they up the limit on your credit cards so now you have more money to spend.

This is easy you think so why not have another and another, very soon the payments become harder to manage and you start paying one credit card payment with another to make life easier.

At this point your spending is limited due to reaching the limit on all your cards so you opt for another credit card simply to help out with the payments you think!

But the shop till you drop spending habit is hard to curb, after paying the monthly payments on your other credit cards you still have money in the new one and it is like a red rag to a bull.

With another card at the limit you now decide the only way out is to apply for another, you are now down to paying minimum payments on all your cards, they may be just about manageable but you are in desperate need of new clothes or other items to add to mountain of clothing that is packed tight into your wardrobe.

It is quite probable that many of these clothes or items have only ever been used once and some may even still be unworn, but that shop till you drop habit takes no account of that and you are once again back online applying for yet another credit card.

You finally reach the position of being unable to pay the minimum payment on some of the cards; the interest mounts up at an alarming rate and finally you are refused credit and you reach rock bottom.

The shopping trips are over and done with and this is when depression sets in if you let it.

What can you do to get out of this mess?

You are being bombarded with demands for money you owe, it is no use hiding your head in the sand and ignoring them, this will make the companies even more determined to get their money.

Sit down and make a list of every single amount you owe, then make a list of all your household bills including your food.

First of all look at your food bill, is it extravagant with no care as to what the prices are of each item.

This is your first task. If you eat out a lot or pop into the local shop for your lunchtime sandwiches this must stop.

A sandwich made at home is probably a quarter of the cost of one bought in a sandwich shop. Start checking prices when you shop for food items, many can be bought quite cheaply and are just as good as those high priced top brands.

Go through all your clothes and items you have bought which you really weren’t bothered about in the first place, it is probably there only because you couldn’t resist a bargain.

Ebay is a great auction place and all the items of clothing etc you don’t need can bring in some welcome cash to start paying off at least one of the credit cards or loans you may have taken out.

Your next job is to sit down and write to each of your creditors, explain your situation and make a reasonable offer that you can afford to start paying off your debts.

Most of your creditors will be sympathetic and accept your offer as they will realise that unless they do payments may not be forthcoming.

Now if you still want to shop till you drop change your shopping habits and instead of the shops start going to car boots and jumble sales, only buy items that you think will have a good chance of making a profit on Ebay.

What you deem as junk someone else will jump at it and that extra profit can help to pay off your debts much quicker.

What did you say? It is below you to visit such places. Don’t forget you’re a pauper now and you have to stay a pauper until you get debts and your life sorted out.
