Why can't I make money with my online business?
That question has a familiar and a repetitive ring to it. So many
newbie's and seasoned internet workers alike ask that question.
You have done all the right things, and read everything there is to read about your business but it is still bringing in pence rather than pounds. Do you have your own website to advertise your business?
If so good, that is the first step to seeing your business grow. As far as you are concerned your website looks good and it should attract loads of visitors,
but that is the problem it doesn't. WHY! You have optimised your site and used the correct keywords which means your website doesn't have a problem,
so why aren't the visitors coming?
Maybe you are the problem, its no use sitting back and expect to see the money rolling in by thinking your part of the job is complete. Your part of the job is just beginning,
because now you have to start advertising your website so people will find it on the search engines.
Traffic is the key to success and to get that traffic you need as many
websites as possible linking to you. Reciprocal linking still works but
one way links work much better.
For reciprocal linking try linkmarket.net or linkciti.com. For one way links you need to write articles and submit them to article directories like ezinearticles.com, articlecity.com, goarticles.com.
These are just a few of many hundreds you will find on the web.
You can post the same article to every Article directory but if possible make a few changes for each submission, also don't post to every article site on the same day stagger them out for better responses as the more people that use your articles the more one way links you will receive.
Don't forget to put your Bio on each article with a short interesting snippet of information about yourself or your business.
You could run a PPC campaign with Google or one of the smaller search engines like exactseek.com to gain traffic, but this can run expensive so you need to know how to do it correctly.
A blog can be useful, create a free blog with blogger.com, this is owned by Google so they may look your way a bit more often. Just post two or three times a week with things of interest plus any special news about your business, it all helps.
If you need a bit of help with your SEO you will find it here seobook.com they have a blog with free marketing tips and strategies plus free SEO tools to optimise your website.
Forget about free hosting
if you want a long term website that will
become successful. Quite often the host of
your free website will withdraw your site and
if it has become successful it can become
quite a loss. If possible add new and
interesting data daily or at least two or
three times a week, Google will pick up on
this and your website will rate higher.
Add new pages when ever
possible, it not only works for the search
engines but it also brings people back again
and again to check your site out.
