Millions of households
own a pet, they are big business as millions of pounds are spent
on them every year.
Why not get on the bandwagon and think of ways
to earn part of those millions. Dogs are one of the front
runners and a large majority are indeed pampered pets so lets
think up a few ideas so you can start earning.
Before we begin, I belong to the older
generation and as a result I can remember when to get an
apprenticeship in any trade you had to pay the employer. That
has faded out long ago but think about this when I make my next
suggestion.
Pet grooming can earn you a good living but
you need some experience to start your own pet grooming service
so here is an easy way to start getting that experience.
Enquire at your local pet grooming parlour if
they would let you work voluntary for a few months at weekends
or in your spare time. This could benefit you enormously as you
learn the tricks of the trade.
Don’t tell them you are thinking of opening
your own pet parlour because the fewer the better as far they
are concerned, if they ask why you want to work for nothing just
say you have three or four dogs at home and can’t afford to take
them to be groomed so you want to learn how to do it yourself.
Or tell them you are moving to the country and it seems a good
profession to follow in that environment.
Just think of them as little white lies
because you never know you might end up with three or four dogs
one day, or you might even move to the country it is a
possibility.
Dog walking can bring in the money if your
willing to go out in all weathers, just place an ad in your
local shops and you’ll be surprised at how many people would
appreciate this service.
Dogs fashion clothing are also big business,
if you have a creative mind and your good at making things then
get started, just try the auction sites to start with and if you
do ok visit the small pet shops and see if they are interested
in selling them for you with a small percentage of the sales
going to them.
What about a dog sitting service while their
owners go on holiday, you would have a holiday yourself from
your own home. Just get a reference from your doctor or local
vicar if you know them just to show credentials to prospective
clients.
If your good at handiwork have a try at
building dog kennels, or making beds for pets, the more
luxurious the more pet lovers will want them.
There are probably dozens of ideas you could
think of if you put your mind to it so do a bit of brain
searching and see what you can come up with. |
